Carolyn grew up in eastern Massachusetts, and is thrilled to be working and living so close to family. She knew as a child she wanted to help people, but hadn’t solidified medicine as a career choice until college. She obtained her undergraduate degree at UMass Amherst, and completed medical school and pediatric residency training at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester. Part of what drew Carolyn to the field of pediatrics is the opportunity for preventive medicine. She lives locally with her husband and 2 cats. In her spare time she enjoys reading, decorating and is passionate about traveling. Traveling has brought her many places, including to Liberia in West Africa where she cared for children in a hospital setting during her residency. This experience reinforced her belief in the immense value of vaccinations. She is an animal lover in addition to adoring children.
