What does it do?

Titian is a light-based treatment we use to improve skin tone and laxity. The areas we most often treat include the cheeks, jawline, under the chin and the abdomen.

How does it work?

We use a sophisticated non-laser infrared light to gently heat the supportive tissue within the skin.

How is your treatment different from Thermage?

Both heat the collagen in the skin but Titan is reported to be less painful and less sensitive to variations in tissue because it uses a completely different mechanism for heating.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments varies according to the precise condition and responsiveness of your skin but it typically ranges from one to three treatments over a few months. At your consultation, we can discuss this in detail and recommend a treatment program that’s right for you.

How long does each treatment take?

The time will vary according to whether you are treating a full face, a neck or both, but a safe estimate is 60 minutes.

What does it feel like?

Patients are able to tolerate treatments without the use of any anesthesia, numbing creams, or medication. There may be a few quick moments or areas of particular discomfort. Some patients choose to take acetaminophen prior to treatment, but most patients do fine without any pain medication.

What can I expect afterwards?

There may be some flushing from the heat and possibly some very slight swelling, but you can return to normal activities right away. Results can be subtle at first but over the course of 6 months, the results continue to appear.

How long do the results last?

Our patients are still enjoying the benefits of Titan after one to two years, but because the skin will continue to age, they may opt for a yearly maintenance treatment.

Is it safe?

Yes. Tens of thousands of Titan treatments have been done to date. As with all medical procedures there is a slight degree of risk and we will discuss this with you thoroughly when you come in for your consultation.

How much does it cost?

If you’d like to make an appointment for a consultation, we can give you an idea as to the number of treatments and the specific price. We do offer various payment plans. If you choose to go ahead with treatment, we will subtract the $75 for the consultation from the treatment fees.

Can anyone have it done?

Typically any adult who wants to have more fit skin, and who understands that this isn’t a replacement for a face lift, can be a candidate for Titan. Patients of any skin type are appropriate candidates for Titan.
